About Cars Junk Man
Cars Junk Man buys junk, wrecked and scrap cars in Chicago and tows them away for free. You're paid at pickup. We work the whole city, with neighborhood pages for the South Side, and we also pick up in the Chicagoland suburbs and in Northwest Indiana as far as Gary.
What we do
- Buy any vehicle in any condition: cars, pickups, vans and SUVs, burned, flooded, wrecked, stripped or dead
- Take several cars in one visit when you have more than one
- Tow them away free, from the curb, the alley, the driveway or the garage
- Pay you before the truck pulls away: Zelle, Cash App, another digital payment, or cash
- Keep the offer open with no expiry date
- Pick up the same day when we can, which is often
- Help when there's no title: tell us what papers you have, and we'll confirm on the call which ones Illinois rules accept for a scrap sale
What we don't
- Take a towing charge out of your offer
- Buy a car from someone who can't show it's theirs
- Post prices, because two of the same model can be worth different amounts
Why this site talks so much about the tow
Most junk car websites are about the money. Fair enough, but the money only shows up if the truck can reach the car. The car that needs junking is usually the one that's hardest to move: dead in a garage behind a bungalow, sitting on four flats in an alley, boxed in on a two-flat's shared pad. So this site spends its words on that. Where the car is, what's around it, what the driver needs to know.
That's also why our neighborhood pages read like directions. Chatham, Englewood, South Shore, Auburn Gresham, Greater Grand Crossing and Woodlawn each have notes on the landmarks and the parking that make a pickup quick or slow.
What you won't find here
No street address, because there's no storefront: we come to you. No star ratings or testimonials, because we'd rather you judge us on the call. No price list, because an honest offer needs the car's details. And no phone number on the site yet. The form reaches us directly, and we call you back.
